Why should you modify?

  • The sMS-200ultra has the sCLK-EX clock with 4 points. The sCLK-EX can be used for all digital devices that require clock signals such as DAC, USB host card, CD player, PC main board and LAN controller.
  • Two points are used by the system internally (sCLK-EX2425) and two points left free to clock other digital devices (eg SOtM sNH-10G Ethernet switch).

What is the modification?

  • Installing SMB connector only to have the clock signal from the  sMS-200ULTRA sCLK-EX clock point

  • Modifying the sMS-200ultra sCLK-EX clock

  • Installing the SMB connector to the sCLK-EX side

  • Installing the SMB connector to the sNH-10G side

This modification works to eliminate noise coming from the Ethernet connection and improves/cleans the sound as a result.

The sMS-200ultra is similar to the sMS-200, and boasts a dedicated ARM processor board, purpose-built to support only audio. Player software:  ROON, MPD, DLNA, SqueezeLite and others are available.  You can use your music files from an external USB storage device, network shared folders or streaming services – or easily add even more functions via a software upgrade. Simple and nice looking Web GUI allows users to choose the desired audio function, setup and control playing music file through Apps on users’ smart devices.

The input and output terminals in the sNH-10G consist of eight LAN ports and two SFP ports. There is also an option to install the sCLK-EX (internal clock) and 10 MHz master clock connector to further maximize sound quality.

With these options and high-performance network cables, such as the dCBL-CAT7, your network audio system will be able to realize more realistic textures, a wider sound stage and explosive dynamics – all without losing the detail of the entire range.
